Welcome to Penn Scripter's Ramblings
Penn Scripter - Unexpected Paranormal Romance
We have a cover, and we’re going to reveal it!
The Reincarnation of Charlie is Penn Scripter’s latest collaboration.
We have a cover, and we’re going to reveal it! But first, here’s a bit of backstory.
The German Shorthaired Pointer in the story is modeled after a real dog. Carol’s dog to be exact, and, yes, his name is Charlie. One day, Stephanie and Carol were sitting on the front porch watching Charlie who was spinning and jumping and doing his usual antics.
The conversation drifted to the next collaboration. Both, but especially Carol, have always been fascinated by the concept of reincarnation.
“When I was a child, the movie, You Can Never Tell, left a lasting impression on me. It’s the story of an ex-army dog who inherits a fortune from his eccentric millionaire owner. The dog is poisoned and asks the heavenly leader of animals to send him back to Earth, as a human private investigator, to solve his own murder.”
The only similarity to Charlie is a human returning as a dog. Yes, you guessed it, a German Shorthaired Pointer. At its heart, The Reincarnation of Charlie is a love story – an unexpected paranormal romance. So, when you see the eyes in the sky, and the GSP looking up at them, we think you’ll get the drift. At least we hope you do!
So, we proudly present, the cover of The Reincarnation of Charlie!
We’ll be doing a Goodreads giveaway around May 25th, so look for news about that. And, if you are interested in being an Advanced Reader in exchange for a review, keep your eyes out for that.
Release date for Charlie is June 24th, a very special day – the birthday of Stephanie’s father and Carol’s husband. What can we say? It’s a family affair!
